Cause of the strategic position of the cage almost all of the Mesarya savanna and Karpaz peninsula can be seen as bird’s-eye-view and cause of its natural property the entrance can be detected only if you come in front of it.
In order to bring Çanakkale Prisoners Cave to TRNC tourism, history and caves, English/Turkish explanatory signs in Beşparmaklar, highway signs from Ercan-Gazi Mağusa crossroads to Ergenekon Village and direction guides were organized, the route was cleared and a total of 30 hikes/climbs were done to this historic cave by GAU Cyprus Research Centre last year.
