Students applying for a Masters Degree at GAU will earn the right to study with scholarships in 3 intercontinental campuses

REGISTRATION WILL BE BETWEEN 1st  MARCH and 5th JULY

Special for the 30th year, Girne American University (GAU) states they will give a special scholarship to all students that graduate in TRNC.

GAU explains that the 2015 intercontinental scholarship exams will include two formats; the first being for the students who were educated in Turkish colleges will be YGS formatted (multiple choice). The exam booklet will have 40 Turkish, 40 Social Sciences, 40 Mathematics and 40 Science questions,  a total of 160.  As for the students who have been educated in English colleges they will be able to choose an examination booklet between ARTS and SCIENCE (also including 160 questions), at the same time, they will have the choice of picking the Turkish YGS formatted booklet. GAU also stated that the examination duration is 160 minutes and that the questions answered incorrectly will not affect the ones completed correctly, so the grades will be given accordingly.

Furthermore, in the 2015/2016 academic year, during the fall semester, scholarship and registration exams will take place on Saturday 6th June at 10 o’clock at Girne American University’s Millenium building located in Kyrenia, Cyprus. At the latest the students must be there ready at 09:30 with their entry papers and ID cards.

2 days after the examination on 9^th June 2015, the students that apply for the examination will personally be contacted by GAU’s staff about the scholarship and registration results with the numbers given on the forms.

Great advantage for Turkish nationals who graduate from TRNC colleges!

The decision made in 2012 by The Girne American University Senate meeting was that Turkish national students who complete their college education in TRNC will have the same advantages that TRNC nationals have, such as applying for the scholarship examination, educational fees and the same scholarship fees. However, in order for Turkish national candidates to benefit from the TRNC Entrance and Scholarship examinations they need to take the non-scholared YGS-LYS exam by ÖSYM.

Examination applications between 1^st March and 5^th June can be conducted by colleges or GAU Student Affairs Office Presidency,  Candidates are required to submit an ID photocopy and 2 passport photographs. The examination fee is announced to be 50TL and the application form must be complete.

The application for the entrance examination will be at all TRNC colleges.

Students will have the chance to study in Canterbury - England, Hong Kong and USA overseas campuses if they are granted scholarships or not according to the results obtained from the Entrance and Scholarship Grading Examination. Scholarships are valid for GAU students and candidates for all intercontinental campuses.
