On behalf of Girne American University, CEO and Vice Chancellor of Board of Administrators - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi and Head of Business Department and Accreditation Coordinator - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdam Saydam, participated in the 7th International Semester Meeting of Eduniversal which took place in Istanbul (Turkey).

Based in Central Paris, the international rating institution of Eduniversals reviews a report with results that would attract attention to the Higher Education given in North Cyprus. Taking place in the group of Turkey -  “Eurasian and Middle East Countries”, GAU is amongst,  Istanbul University, Koç University, Bilkent University, Sabancı University, Galatasaray University, Eastern Mediterranean University and Marmara University.

GAU and EMU were the only Universities of the TRNC in the top 1000 Universities

GAU’s Business Faculty has done it again, and in 2014 it takes its place among “The World’s Best 1000 Universities to give the Best Education in Business”.

Amongst 4000 universities, being only one of the two from North Cyprus, Girne American University and Eastern Mediterranean University were shown in “The World’s Top 1000 Universities to give the Best Education In Business”, alongside universities from Turkey such as, Istanbul University, Koç University, Bilkent University, Sabancı University, Galatasaray University and Marmara University.

Vehbi : “As GAU we feel great joy and honour from this accomplishment.”

On this subject GAU’s CEO and Vice Chancellor of Board of Administrators - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi stated that thanks to the dedicated scientific work by GAU’s global science family which was successful in the past years, has allowed them to accomplish the success again this year. This has concluded that universities are good for a country because it has reflected on the whole of the TRNC in many beneficial ways.  Vehbi underlines that important messages are being sent around the world by GAU’s campuses in different continents, academic programs, public project objectives on the higher education system and the true facts about the country.  Also in the past couple of weeks the meeting that was held at the Hunting Campus of Istanbul University’s Business Faculty, it was announced they were in the top 1000 of best education for business and as GAU we feel great joy and honour.

Saydam : As GAU Business School, we are honoured with our success of being among “The Top 1000” Best Universities.

Prof. Dr. Serdam Saydam, Head of Business Department and Accreditation Coordinator’s statement noted that with the final evaluations of Eduniversal, amongst 154 countries around the world  and 4000 other business schools they have been chosen as one of “The Top 1000 Best Educating Schools”. This election is an annual event which includes scientific criteria and the votes of Deans taken into consideration. As GAU, we place great importance on international accreditation and international ratings. As it is known accreditation has been given from, America IACBE and in Europe ECBE accredited institutes. As a faculty we are happy and also proud with the success we have had at Eduniversal. I would like to thank everybody who has made an effort and worked with us and I would like to mention that we were very confident on “Best Education in Master’s Degree”.  We are waiting for the results  Eduniversal will be announcing on our “Full Time MBA” program and “Best Master’s Degree”, and I am hoping to get good listing in the ratings.
