The 29th October Republic Run which is a traditional event every year by Girne American University took place with the participation of the GAU Global Science family, students and the society in the Kyrenia Campus.

The Run which was organised by GAU Presidency of Health, Culture and Sports commenced at the new Girne road where many people participated in the run. It was co-ordinated at the GAU Campus semi Olympic running track, which consists of 4 km of racetrack. There were competitive scenes between the contestants which were made up of 3 different age categories.

The GAU Presidency of Health, Culture and Sports, stated that there were people of young ages and many other people from various nationalities who had shown an interest in the October 29th Republic Run.

People who had ranked at the GAU October 29th Republic Run were given awards by Head of Health, Culture and Sports – Türkay Akpınar and Sport Co-ordinator – Muzaffer Doğün and BESYO President Prof. Dr Mustafa Apak.  Türkay Akpınar who made a speech at the award ceremony celebrated the 91st Year of the Republic of Turkey.
