Exhibition On Unknown Aspects of The National Struggle
The photography exhibition on unknown aspects of the national struggle set up by the academic staff and students within the framework of the course named Service to Community from Faculty of Education, Girne American University has been dedicated to the memory of Rauf Denktas.
Giving an interview at GAU TV, Instructor Didem Eskimez from Faculty of Education,stressed that the pictures in the exhibition had been shared with the public for the first time and they had been displayed as they witnessed to the historical events.
Didem Eskimez, the project coordinator, further said that students from the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Tolga Zaroğlu, Hande Nur Dalgıç and Ayşe Koçak transferred hundreds of photos and documents taken from the National Archieves and Research Office on to the digital medium, thus helping the Turkish Cypriots protect cultural heritage and transfer it to the next generation.
The exhibition at the Girne American University Girne Campus, International Congress Hall Spectrum will be open till 20 January 2012.
