Dean of the Girne American University Faculty of Education – Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal has announced that their faculty is ready for the 2014-2015 academic year with a new vision. Prof. Karakartal explained that universities are a tradition and all major universities around the world are based on history, experience and tradition and further stated that:

“The first university TRNC, Girne American University, is the bearer and creator of this tradition and experience in our island. Girne American University, which had left behind the 30 years of successful teaching and training experience, continues to serve our world of education with its pioneering and innovative vision. In this context, GAU Faculty of Education has realized a synthesis by adding a young and dynamic team as well as the experienced faculty members. The staff knows that education is filled with a desire to transfer their knowledge and experience to young people. Dean of the Girne American University Faculty of Education – Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal stated that "teachers, academicians and researchers" are respected occupations in every country and particularly in Turkish society and by reminding that there is a teacher or teachers that have played a role or left a trail in our lives, expressed that they plan to make their students a privileged member of the professions with the teachers, academicians and researcher training programs of GAU Faculty of Education:
