AN EMPHASIS ON SIGNIFICANCE OF ART ON PEACE WAS MADE ON 1ST OF SEPTEMBER WORLD PEACE DAY AS DATES FOR EXAM AND QUOTA DETAILS ARE ANNOUNCED BY GAU PERFORMING ARTS DANCE DEPARTMENT

The Performing Arts dance department of GAU which commenced educational life with the slogan of “Time to Dance Now” have emphasized that restrictions on world and Cyprus peace will be undermined via the determination of art and artists and the world peace will be conveyed on the shoulders of the future artists.

GAU announced that Performing Arts academic departments have been granted with equivalences and quotas by both YÖK and YÖDAK and that the entrance examination for 2013 academic year fall semester is further announced to be held on 4 September 2014 at 11:00am in Cyprus-Girne Campus Performing Arts dance studios.

Underlining the achievements of GAU in regards to establishing the Faculty of Performing Arts in 2009-2010 academic years and having had won the Award of Best Academy  under the category of  “Success Awards” 2010 and also winning the 2011-2012 and 2013 Dance Championship of Turkey and ranking high in international contests, it has further been stated that GAU Cyprus- Girne Campus is fully compatible with EU and world educational standard in means of academic staff, infrastructure and dancing studios. GAU announced to accept admissions for the fall semester.

Only a limited number of students will be approved for 2 and 4 year programs of the Dance Department.

It has further been emphasized that students who graduate from 2 year programs of the Performing Arts Department will have the opportunity to continue their careers as a Member of Dance Group, Soloist, Acting Director, Choreographer, Body Movement Expert, and Reformist Researcher on Dance Theories, Dance Researches, Performance Studies and Dance Criteria, Counseling Director on Art Organizations.  For those students who will be graduates of 4 year programs they will have the opportunity to be a Professional Dance Trainer and Dance and Art Director in Primary schools and high schools and also a Reformist Researcher on Dance Theories, Dance Researches, Performance Studies and Dance Criteria.
