GAU Initiates The First Design Oriented Master’s Program
Architecture Master’s Program (M.ARCH.) and Interior Architecture (M.A.) program which provides education under Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty of GAU offers the art and design undergraduate graduates to be the expert in the various design fields through the renovated curriculum in 2014-2015 academic years.
Architecture Master’s Program (M.ARCH.) and Interior Architecture (M.A.) program curriculum has been re-organized for the fields of interior design, environmental psychology, sustainable design, history of design, theory of design, design in history, space sociology, space production politics, structural design, furniture design, urban design, landscape design and other various alternative fields in order to offer design, critics and research oriented master programs by reinforcing four core courses that includes two design studio courses, a research methods and critical reading and writing and three elective courses to add up to seven courses in total. As a result, students will have the opportunity to add values and complete their thesis studies through research and critical studies and creative designs. Students in GAU Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty who will be studying in this design oriented master’s program which is to be for the first time initiated in GAU, will have the advantage of getting support from the international academic staff , participate in international organization and take courses from other universities which offers common studies in different countries.
