GAU AND GEDIK UNIVERSITY SIGNS AN ACADEMIC PROTOCOL

Girne American University has added one more academic protocol to those signed with other universities of the world and Turkey on the eve of its 30th year in higher education.

With the academic protocol agreement signed between GAU and Gedik University, GAU has almost reached 200 academic protocols and common scientific studies and has co-operated with universities other than the GAU international overseas campuses and educational centres in England, Hong Kong, ABD and Turkey.

The signing ceremony which was held at Gedik University was attended by Rector – Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Haydar on behalf of GAU Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering , and Rector – Prof. Dr. Berrak Kurtuluş and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering – Prof. Dr. Sunullah Özbek on behalf of Gedik University.

According to the statement from GAU, it was underlined that GAU has reached 200 academic protocols with universities other than global overseas campuses, which contribute to the promotion of the country as well as an increase in the number of students. The academic protocols will reinforce the relationships with mainland Turkey through language, culture and religious unity thus scientific productivity will be the result of the co-operation.

The protocol signed between GAU and Gedik University, will allow student and scientist exchange for education and research, thus providing opportunity to participate in a scientific symposium, conferences, seminars and continue academic semesters in other campuses.
