First Prize: Full Scholarship at The GAU Uk Campus

GAU Faculty of Communication is organizing its 6th Short Film Competition for high school students. The Short Film Competition for highschool students, organized by the GAU Faculty of Communication, is traditionally held every year and the 6th have started.

Applications have started for the 6th High School short film competition whose objective is to contribute to the students awareness of their environment and cultural value and to give them the opportunity to develop and express themselves through an artistic activity.

A statement issued by the GAU Faculty of Communication stated that students studying at high schools in the TRNC and Turkey can enter the 6th short film competition.

A variety of prizes will be awarded after the decision of the jury which is comprised of lecturers from the GAU Faculty of Communication, famous artists and authorities of cinema. This year’s first prize is a full scholarship at the GAU Canterbury Campus UK on the English Foundation Course. Furthermore, the second prize of a Digital Camera worth 1500€ and a third prize of a Divx / DVD Player worth 750€ will be awarded by the GAU 6th High School Short Film Competition.

It was emphasized in the statement that detailed information on the terms of application and preliminary application forms can be found on the GAU website www.gau.edu.tr and at the Kyrenia Campus Public Relations Department (0392) 650 20 00 ext. 1165. The winners will be presented their prizes after the screening of their films during the award ceremony at the GAU Kyrenia Campus infront of the distinguished members of the jury and famous film directors and cinema artists from Turkey and North Cyprus.
