GAU to host 2nd International Architecture Symposium

GAU, on the eve of its 30th academic year, prepares to host the largest academic event of the Middle-East and Mediterranean in connection with the field of Architecture.

The 2nd International Symposium of Contemporary Architecture and Urbanism in the Mediterranean and the Middle-East (CAUMME) which is to be hosted by the GAU Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts, will include topics of Architectural and Urban Research, Education, and Practice in the Era of ‘Post-Professionalism” as has been concluded by the symposium administrators.

It has been announced that the Symposium will be held in October 2014 and is co-organized by Girne American University, Yıldız Technical University and Qatar University as part of a biennial (once every two years) program organized for the Symposium based on Architecture and Urbanism.

TRNC Welcomes World Architecture Authorities

The Presidency of the Contemporary Architecture and Urbanism in the Mediterranean and the Middle-East Symposium, which will take place next year in GAU, will be held by the Vice-Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts. The symposium was initially held in Istanbul Technical University in 2012 when the world architecture authorities revealed enthusiasm towards the Symposium. The 2nd CAUMME Symposium, which will be held between the dates of 23rd and 25th of October 2014 will have participation by world authority scientists from over 20 States, and will be hosted by GAU.

The symposium will be held in the English language in the Main Hall and in addition panels will be conducted in respect of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean region languages. For further details about the symposium please see http://caumme.gau.edu.tr.
