Le Chateau Lambousa, an important building block of tourism in the country, is re-entering the service of tourism, with the joint cooperation of Girne American University (GAU) and Celebrity Hotels Group.

The 5-star Chateau Lambousa Hotel under Celebrity Hotels Group, became the window opened to the world during the first tourism movement in the Turkish Cypriot’s struggle to the present time, and it will now re-open its doors for the country's economy and tourism with a spectacular opening organized by the Girne American University’s 30 years of education experience and vision.

In a statement made by Le Chateau Hotel Lambousa Press and Public Relations unit, it was expressed that the hotel will bring significant development in promoting the country and to the tourism sector of the TRNC, as well as providing employment and adding value to the economy.

With the official opening ceremony it will serve the country’s tourism

Together with the state protocol, organizations and institutions which guide the country's tourism, civil society organizations and important opinion leaders that control global tourism, will be attending the official opening ceremony, which will be held at Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel on Saturday 14th June 2014 at 20.00.

Türkan Kürşad to perform with the orchestra of Metin Özülkü

It has been stated that Metin Özülkü and his private orchestra of 20 people, will take the final stage of the official opening ceremony and the night will start with Türkan Kürşad, who is a young talented Turkish Cypriot, and GAU Group of Schools American College student, Yetenek Sizsiniz who took part in the GAU Talent Contest.

Beyazgül Theatrical Dance Show will enthral the audience

Also guests will meet with the Sword and Raven Knight performance which came to our country from Belarus especially for the opening, alongside the Beyazgül Theatrical Dance Show.

Beyazgül Theatrical Dance Show, which describes the remarkable true love story of concubine blown away from an Ottoman Harem to a Netherlands palace with an artistic language, will enthral the guests with the blending of mystical Ottoman palace dances and exotic oriental dances together with modern dance and offer the Beyazgül love legend, a real love story in the 17th century by combining memorable scenes of the daily courtly life through dance.

The Beyazgül Story, which describes A Love Story between an Ambassador of the Netherlands and a concubine, will be staged at Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel for the first time in our country.

The theatrical dance of the immortal Istanbul love story between the Netherlands Ambassador Cornelis Calkoen and a concubine in Topkapi Palace, later freed a woman from İstanbul named Beyazgül, experienced in Pera in the Tulip Era, will be offered to the guests.

Information has been given about the legend love story, which inspired the Beyazgül dance show, and emphasized that even today flowers are dropped on Valentine’s Day every year under the Beyazgül statue located in the Netherlands Palace, Pera used as the Consulate of Netherlands today, a statue that makes people experience strange feelings in the palace from the day it was built, declared to be in the palace at night is a woman clad in white silk, with steps light as a feather and rustling sounds, navigating the rooms and garden. There is testimony of some of the old ambassadors and one of them claimed to have seen the spirit of Beyazgül at midnight beside his bed which then turned into the legend of Beyazgül. The legend will be presented to the guests with an unforgettable dance show with the historical setting of Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel.

World Tourism Giant AH&LA has accepted Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel as an Institutional Member for the first time in the TRNC.

The Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel, will hold the title of being the TRNC’s only hotel to serve under the American Tourism and Hospitality Training Foundation (AH & LA), which has a centre in Washington DC and is situated in more than 90 countries. It has been co-operating with over 200 universities and institutions with a history of 110 years and is preparing to be an important reference for tourism in the country with international membership.
