The GAU Badminton team have ranked 3rd during the Turkish Super League Badminton championship tournament which was held in Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University.

GAU Sports Coordinator - Muzaffer Doğgün has stated that the GAU badminton team has competed with world-ranking competitors during the Turkey Inter-universities Badminton Super League championship which was held in Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University with 10 universities participating. Doğgün added that they are very proud of the GAU Badminton team’s success and they are already getting prepared for the forthcoming tournaments to be held in the future.

Doğgün also emphasized on the numerous successes of GAU Sports Coordinator office in various international fields and added that “we will continue to represent the TRNC in many other fields of sports like badminton”.

The competitors for the GAU Badminton team which competed in Turkey Inter-universities Badminton Super League championship were Savaş Dursun, Hüsnü Mercan, Erkan Taş, Esra Gökalp, Burcu Koç and Nesil Yusufoğlu.
