GAU continues to represent the TRNC in international platforms.

GAU have participated in the International EAQUALS Conference, as the first and only EAQUALS
Accredited University in Cyprus which took place in Budapest, Hungary. The Headmistress of GAU English Foundation School - Hatice Asvaroğlu and GAU English Foundation School lecturer - Pınar Orhon attended the conference as the representatives of the TRNC and GAU.
The conference which is held twice a year is aiming to provide a platform to enhance the quality in language learning, providing support in vocational experience through language learning and sharing successful applications in language learning.

The agenda of the conference included the election of the board, successful applications in quality management, most applicable classroom applications, CEFRL, curriculum, seminars on scaling and workshops.

GAU English Foundation School - Hatice Asvaroğlu stressed that GAU devotes great significance on international academic equalities and that GAU is the first and only institution in Cyprus to be granted with EAQUALS accreditation following the successful challenging auditing held in April. Asvaroğlu emphasized that she had participated in the conference previously as the first and only EAQUALS accredited institution – GAU, and that this year’s participation has honoured them as they have contributed to the elections of the EAQUALS Board.

GAU English Foundation School was accredited by EAQUALS in June 2013 and by EDEXCEL in November 2013.
