The students and teachers of the Girne American University English Foundation School continue their successful work in all areas.

GAU students continue to encourage social awareness in many areas with the English Foundation School social responsibility projects by proving the importance they give to development and awareness in social fields as well as their development in the academic fields.

It is stated that the GAU English Foundation School teachers and students organized a sale around the campus with food they had prepared themselves and earned an income for the elderly at the Lapta Nursing Home. The immediate needs of the elderly have been met with this collected money, a group of lecturers and students representing the English Foundation School visited the nursing home in Lapta, food and beverages were served to the elderly in the nursing home and students spent fun time by chatting with them. It could be read through the eyes of the Lapta nursing home residents which expressed their delight and satisfaction, and drew attention to the importance of creating awareness of society with similar activities.
Also GAU English Foundation School Headmistress - Hatice Asvaroğlu expressed that they were very satisfied by this visit and stated that such events will continue in the future and they will continue to contribute to the protection of social values by creating community awareness.
