First SoloTurk Pilot holds Seminar at GAU

Murat Keleş - The First SoloTurk Pilot: “Aviation in our Lives”
The 30th year anniversary of GAU faculty events are continuing and the Aviation Club, formed by the students of GAU Civil Aviation Department, organized a seminar entitled “Aviation in Our Lives” at the GAU Millennium Senate and Congress Centre.

There was great interest shown in the seminar of “Aviation in Our Lives” which was attended by Hakkı Doğankaya - Head of Civil Aviation Department, the first SOLOTURK pilot - Murat Keleş and Accident Decimation Investigation Expert - Captain Pilot Nuri Sakarya.

The 3 hour long seminar allowed discussion to be made with regard to topics on aviation.
Visiting Cyprus in November for a performance, the SoloTurk Pilot - Murak Keleş amused the students with his unique explanations and also informed about the technical details of a flight. Captain Pilot Hakkı Doğankaya and Captain Pilot Nuriş Sakarya both gave brief information about the history of aviation and also about precautions that can be made to avoid flight accidents and they also talked about the methods regarding flight accident investigations.
The “Aviation in Our Lives” seminar, organized by the GAU Civil Aviation Department concluded with questions by the students regarding issues relevant to aviation.

Hakkı Doğankaya- Head of Civil Aviation Department, The first SOLOTURK pilot Murat Keleş and Accident Decimation Investigation Expert Captain Pilot Nuri Sakarya were presented with plaques of appreciation with regard to their participation.

Following the plaque presentation, students and the participants posed for a souvenir photograph.
