American College success in Athletics

Students of the American College, which provides education under the GAU Group of Schools, has achieved significant success at the Regional Selection of the Ministry of Education Primary Schools Athletics which was held at Nicosia Ataturk Stadium.

The American College 4th Grade elementary school student - Taygun Dervis became the winner of the Kyrenia area in the category of elementary 4th grade boys 100 meters and 1000 meters race, while at the same time he was ranked first in Cyprus in the 1000 meter run.
The American College 5th Grade student - Suzan Su Çırakoğlu came second in the Kyrenia Region and TRNC in the category of 5th Grade female 100-yard dash.

The American College 5th Grade student - Tara Kamali came second in the Kyrenia region in Cyprus Primary Schools Athletics Long Jump, while the 4th Grade - Anastasiya Novstya Gukovskaya became the winner in the long jump in the Kyrenia region and came second in the overall rankings.

In addition, while the American College Girls’ Relay team came third in the Kyrenia region, the Athletics students earned the right to take part in the Athletics Championships finals due to their success which will be held in Nicosia on 12th and 13th May 2014.
