The Future American College Reading Fest
The 1st grade students of The Future American College, which provides education under Girne American University Group of Schools, have celebrated their reading fest with pleasure.
The Chair of GAU Group of Schools and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators - Cemile Esenyel participated in the event at which the Principal of the School - Derviş Kansu gave the commencing speech. Kansu in his speech stated that 21 1st grade students are now literate and thanked the families, students and teachers who have contributed to this development. Kansu emphasized that the students have commenced their educational lives with sound fundamentals through disciplinary behaviour and thus are prepared for the upcoming years and he also stated that they are raising the successful individuals of the future.
Under the reading fest theme, students sang choruses, anthems, poems and various songs and also played games of occupations, vowels, Turkish orientated courses and performed theatrical English plays such as Bus, Hero and Seasons. Furthermore the students also sang and danced French songs thus presenting their language skills to their families.
Students were presented with their certificates for reading by the Chair of GAU Group of Schools and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators - Cemile Esenyel.
