GAU Developments and Project on Health

The GAU Board paid a visit to The Ministry of Health and informed Minister Gülle of recent GAU Developments and Project on Health

Girne American University has further informed the Minister of Health - Ahmet Gülle about the health unit and ongoing projects.

GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi and General Secretary - Assist. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut have provided detailed information to the Minister of Health - Ahmet Gülle. Vehbi in his statement expressed that GAU has become a global university with 10,750 students and globally accredited diplomas on the eve of its 30th year of establishment. Vehbi expressed during the visit that they are highlighting 3 fields of education; Aviation, Maritime and Health Sciences and stressed that they had made the visit in order to inform the Minister of the developments and projects in Health Sciences. Further in his statement Vehbi remarked upon the University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine which will soon operate under the health sciences of GAU. He also underlined that GAU is currently co-operating with Istanbul Bilgi University- Nightingale Hospital under educational fields and the hospital project and that all the necessary work is being conducted speedily in order to realise the project. GAU also explained further about the GAU Smart Health Complex to Minister Gülle stressing that TRNC health development and health tourism will be contributed to by the realisation of this project.

TRNC Minister of Health - Ahmet Gülle wished further success to GAU in the field of education and health and emphasized that the university is a significant contributor for TRNC tourism. Gülle underlined that the most significant issue for a country is health and also stated that health must be under a sustainable and developing system. Gülle explained that recently there are significant health developments in the TRNC and that these developments are related to the contribution of the university with regard to health. Gülle underlined that this issue has great significance and also finally stressed that universities must further co-ordinate in this regard.
