GAU Young Photographers Contest Admissions Continue

First Prize - 100% Scholarship in England and 2000 Euros

Girne American University (GAU), on the eve of its 30th Academic year, is organizing the second of the traditional annual “Young Photographers Photography Contest with the theme of Nature and Man in the 2013/2014 Academic year.

Contributions for the contest will be from participants of between 14-25 years of age who are enthusiasts of photography and the art of photography and they will have the opportunity to be awarded with a first prize of a 1-year 100% scholarship in GAU- Canterbury Campus Foundation School in England and 2000 Euros.

The second prize will be a 1-year 100% scholarship in GAU- Canterbury Campus Foundation School in England and 1500 Euros and the third prize winner will receive a 1-year 100% scholarship in GAU- Canterbury Campus Foundation School in England and 1000 Euros.

GAU has announced that the admissions will continue until 28th March 2014.

GAU also stressed that it aims to support the art of photography under the project of social responsibility as GAU represents the first and largest university of North Cyprus and Europe and that the aim and the goal of the contest is to prepare the students for a professional life and to guide the young generation by contributing to their educational lives and build an awareness of the art of photography.

Young Photographers Contest - Online Admissions

The award ceremony will be held on 11th April 2014 at GAU Cyprus - Girne Campus and the photography is to be assessed by famous photographers and senior academicians. The contestants are only permitted to participate in the contest with a maximum of 3 photographs and they should apply to http://yarismalar.gau.edu.tr before Friday 28th March 2014.
