The American College which provides education under the Girne American University (GAU) Group of Schools hosted Administrators and Teachers from Primary and High Schools of the Girne District in a Friendship Night which was organized to meet together and celebrate the New Year. Teachers met in the GAU Millennium Complex Redroom Cafe following the invitation to gather all Girne district school administrators and teachers together.

American College student Türkan Kürşat and American College music teachers entertained with their performances. The American College principal - Aysu Balkanlar gave the opening speech on the exemplary night which hosted the entire schools in the Girne District and emphasized that it was very pleasant to see the achievement of the event, organized by GAU Group of Schools, that had gathered together all teachers in the district.

Furthermore, Balkanlar wished that the New Year would bring beauty, tolerance and love and also wished happiness for everyone throughout the New Year.
