Partnership Protocol signed between GAU and Kibris Genç TV
A partnership protocol for project co-operation has been signed to develop and strengthen the bond between Kıbrıs Genç TV and the Girne American University.
The CEO of Birinci Media - Tekin Birinci, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, GAU Media Co-ordinator - Derviş Refiker and GAU Visual Media Director - Simge Özekler attended to the protocol signing ceremony which was held in Kıbrıs Genç TV Birinci Plaza.
In his speech, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi emphasized that Genç TV and GAU have shown similarities since their establishment and Genç TV have evolved from a lower capacity radio studio to a giant technological media establishment and likewise GAU have developed from 7 students to 10,750 students from 85 countries and over 1,000 employees. Furthermore Vehbi clarified that up to today, GAU and Genç TV have undertaken many common broadcasts thus this will develop further through the protocol into much more significant projects. In addition, Vehbi stated that this protocol will provide an internship opportunity especially for the Communication Faculty students and that partnerships amongst universities and the sector is indeed significant in today’s world.
Finally in his speech Vehbi gave his thanks to GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board of Administrators of GAU, and to Ertan Birinci and Birinci Media CEO Tekin Birinci on behalf of the GAU Family.
In his speech, Birinci Media CEO - Tekin Birinci emphasized that Genç TV and GAU have carried a torch for many years and now this bond has been made official through this protocol. Birinci also stated that they are planning to integrate both Genç TV and GAU Studios together thus contributing to common programs and live broadcasts.
Birinci finally stated that the most important factor of the protocol is the internship opportunity provided to the students under Genç TV facilities and that it is also being planned to undertake common academic programs in forthcoming periods.
