Girne American University Faculty of Engineering in the Techno-Park in GAU Karmi Campus, has now opened its laboratories for scientific production and education.

The Alternative Energy Labs have started to produce alternative energy and electricity sources. A statement from the Head of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Prof. Kamil Dimililer, and Prof. Adalet Abiyev said that the energy and electricity produced by the Alternative Energy Labs meets the electricity needs of the Engineering Department in Techno Park.

The statement also said that in the globalising world, there is a huge effort to find alternative energy sources and GAU students have the chance to apply their practical knowledge thanks to these labs.

It was underlined that the laboratories are not only used for scientific research but also by professional organisations and the private sector will use the labs for research and development.
