ASSIST. PROF. DR. SUALP DAVUT ELECTED AS THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF IACBE FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL IACBE CONFERENCE HELD IN GAU

Assist. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut was elected as the General Secretary of IACBE following a successful IACBE conference held at GAU.

GAU reported that GAU Business and Economy Faculty, Vocational Higher School and Canterbury Campus Business and Economy Faculty are all accredited by IACBE, one of the most prestigious accreditation institutions of America. Assist. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut was elected as the European Regional General Secretary of IACBE following the IACBE European Regional meeting held in GAU.

Davut: “ IACBE will Contribute Significantly to Higher Education in TRNC”

Dr. Sualp Davut stated to GAU TV that “The IACBE conference was held despite the efforts of restraint and I was decided upon as the European Regional General Secretary and responsible person for the Financial Affairs of IACBE. This is an honour for me as a Turkish Cypriot. I foresee that this will also contribute for all higher education institutions in TRNC. The 2014 IACBE European conference is to be held in Spain at the Genova Business School in Barcelona on 24th and 25th of October 2014, following the decision made at the meeting I have attended, as the General Secretary for the first time.”

Davut also added that GAU is the first university of the TRNC to have been accredited by IACBE. Thus this will significantly contribute for the development of higher education in TRNC. Furthermore Davut emphasized that the TRNC will be an island of education through the internationalization vision of GAU. Finally Davut underlined that GAU is accredited by many other accreditation institutions apart from IACBE.
