Students of American College and Lefkoşa Future American College have celebrated the Republic Day enthusiastically.

At the celebrations of 90th anniversary of Republic of Turkey, two of the students of American College Araz Bibi and Volkan Hasanbulli had emphasized the meaning and importance of the day. At the speeches, students stated that “With the proclamation of the republic, Atatürk had established a secular, democratic and modern regime and his aims had been realized in this order. They said that, on October 29/1923 on the first day when he was chosen as a president Atatürk had said that “We will go further together.” And with these words of his, he mentioned all of his aims.

Preschoolers Yonca Necipoğulları, Celine Düzen, Şerife Şener and Işık Tez have read a poem called “October 29” and one of the students of American Primary School Dilara Metay had read a poem called “Today.”
