Following the re-accreditation and equivalence of Girne American University Business and Economy Faculty Business programs by the world leading international accreditation institution IACBE (International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education) in 2013, the IACBE conference of Europe will be held in GAU.

GAU expressed further that, the European IACBE conference that will be held in GAU Cyprus Campus on 24-25 of October 2013 will host hundreds of international scientists. The conference is set to be realized annually by the universities every October, examining vocational development and development of application programs in business field.

Besides GAU, the IACBE Accreditation was also accreditedto the leading  Business and Economy educators likeAmerican Business School –Paris (France), Harris-Stowe State Unıversity (Missouri), Jamestown College (North Dakota), Lynn University (Florida), Nazareth College of Rochester (New York), Oakland City University (Indiana), Thomas University (Georgia) and Swiss School of Management-UnıversitaEuropea di Roma (Italy). GAU England Canterbury Campus is also accredited by IACBE.

Prof Dr. AsımVehbi pulling attention to the significance of IACBE Accreditation and Equivalence on Business and Economy education, also stressed the significance of abroad recognition and accreditation of local universities in regards to IACBE accreditation.Vehbi stressed that IACBE accreditation and equivalence is also been recognized by the most important accreditation of the USA education system the CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation) and also underlined that the conference which will be held in GAU on 25-26 of October, will contribute significantly for the country promotion.
