We share below statement to public opinion and all parties concerned and we do emphasize our call for common sense once more in regards to the misleading published statements of Near East University aiming to deceive the public, the sorrow we feel for such misleading conducts towards the public, condemn those allegations of “statements deemed as erroneous” by NEUin regards to the statements made public via media by our institution and emphasize that no institution has any right to utilize public opinion in line with thereof.

“Recapitulating the urge of necessity for undertaking works and projects to enhance the scientific image ofNorth Cyprus higher-education system and constitutions under the mission of common reasoning and common sense,the efforts of Near East University for misleading the public with certain aim and mission through disturbing the order of the day via abortive discussions do sort ill with scientific reasoning and stance.The combinedDrama and Acting departmentof GAU will for the first time commence education in North Cyprusfor the sake of culture and art under Board of Higher Education.Aforementioned university thus intends to prevent public awareness in regards to uniqueness of thedepartments of Dramatology-Dramaturge and Acting under GAU.Thus we share this fact with the public and state that no any department and/nor education field is under the monopoly of any university.With such understanding and attempt to monopolize higher-education will result in no other than pledging the future of Turkish Cypriot community as security.

No any institution will have the monopoly of providing education in any field particularly for Medicine and health sciences education. Thus we,as Girne American University which represent the existence and the voice of the Turkish Cypriots world-wide via providing higher-education through our own campuses and academic programs in various regions of the world, do emphasize thatwe will stand distant to those abortive discussions of which been aroused by the statement made by NEU and underline that we, on behalf of the state, community and the university system, feel the uneasiness of such understanding that traditionalized stagnationand stagnating throughrude sense of competition.
