Future Inventors Ranked in GAU Creative Minds Contest

Creative Minds contest held under GAU “an idea can change the world” slogan has exhibited a compelling final finally agreeing on the best projects. The Jury members formed by GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Assist. Prof. Dr. ASIM Vehbi, GAU Head of Interior Architecture Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Senem Zeybekoğlu Sadri, GAU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker, Chair of Board of Administrators of Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry Ali Çıralı and Chair of Young Businessmen Foundation Arsen Angın with 50 contestant applications, together with GAU Global Science family choosing 8 participants to finally determining the ranking contestants.

The winners for the contest was Süleyman Esener and Mustafa Sami Peker from   Bursa Police College with an invention of “anti-bacterial anti-moss and no odour shoe base by using clinoptilolite”, the first runner-up were İrem Deniz Derman, Büşra Çandır and Ayça Reyyan Yalçın from High school of Social Sciences with an invention of “Food Carnival” and finally the second runner-up was Helin Okur from Şırnak Cizre High school with an invention of “Walking Stick for Visually Impaired Citizens”. The plaquetes and the awards were distributed respectively by GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi  and GAU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker. GAU further explained that the contest had held interest of many from all over Turkey and Cyprus and that the aim of the contest was to ease life and enhance productivity. Moreover GAU stated that projects as such would be appreciated of support and Young Inventors and Creative Minds contests are aimed to be organized annually.
