WHAT'S
3 Awards to American College From Oxford
The American College, providing education under GAU Pre-Higher Education Group of Schools Education Consortium, has achieved to rank in 3 different categories among approximately 4000 student participants in the reading contest held under “Oxford Worms Graded Readers” and organized by Deniz Plaza and Oxford University Press cooperation.
Year 11 student Maria Goltseva and year 8 student Sana Malik of American College have ranked first, year 6 student Gülcan Bali was the first runner-up for the contest participated by nearly 4000 students under expert juries examining the reading skills of the students. Students were presented their awards by American College Head of English Department Wendy Hulme and Melek İlseven and English Teacher Laura Cole have received their awards from the Principal of American College Aysu Balkanlar.
Director of High Schools Office Mehmet Kortay has directed his appreciations to Oxford and Deniz Plaza for organizing the event. Kortay has also emphasized the importance of English Language learning. Kortay finally underlined the significance of education quality and thanked all American College students.
