The visit emphasized the significance of sound relationship between the countries contributed by leading education institutions of both countries.

The board of Azeri Journalists whom have performed a visit to GAU Cyprus-Girne Campus under the chairmanship of The Chairman of Azerbaijan National Radio Television Institution Nushiravan Maharramov and kept informed about GAU academic programs and international abroad campuses.

The Azeri Journalists whom had been welcomed by GAU board; Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner and General Secretary Dr. Sualp Davut under the presidency of Vice-Chancellor of GAU Board of Administrators Olgun Üstün have further examined over GAU Girne Campus.

A board of 12 journalists whom were acquired invitation from Foreign Affairs Ministry of TRNC for developing mutual relations amongst both states concerning education and interactions. The Chairman of Azerbaijan National Radio Television Institution Nushiravan Maharramov has realized a speech which was broadcasted by GAU TV.

Maharramov, beside his appreciation to have reached the chance to be acquainted with the country and its leading institutions, has also underlined that GAU tracks the world standard in means of the laboratories, classrooms, campus and academic scientific staff. Maharramov also emphasized that they are looking forward to convey experiences of leading institutions to their own country. Maharramov stressed that GAU  is immediately been monitored by the Azeri and Middle Asian countries while an emphasis was made that education institutions are significant leaders for reinforcing mutual relations between two states.

Vice-Chancellor of GAU Board of Administrators Olgun Üstün also emphasized his appreciations for hosting the Azeri press board in GAU Cyprus-Girne Campus. Üstün also underlined the significant role of education, press and media in reinforcing soundness amongst both states. Üstün stressed that relations between both states must be strengthen and that GAU Global science family and international abroad campuses will progress for further enhancements.
