GAU Business Economy Faculty has organized a seminar on “Bankıng in Today’s World”.

In the opening speech held in GAU Millennium Senate Hall, the Head of GAU Business Department

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Saydam has rephrased the content of the seminar and emphasized that this year the second of traditional annual seminars of Business Faculty. The General Director of İktisat Bank Ahmet Karavelioğlu whom participated in the seminar as a guest has explained the “Bankıng in Today’s World” to the students and academicians.

In his speech, the General Director of İktisat Bank Ahmet Karavelioğlu has also underlined the reasons of importance of the banking system while also had had stated the progressive structure of the banking system since past until today. Karavelioğlu has stated that the preferential customers of the banks are those whom have a deposit account. The customers of deposits are commending their money to the banks and it is the most significant duty of the banks not to betray this commend. Also Kaeavelioğlu explaind further about the operation methods and ranking system of the banks. Thus he stated that due to this system the process is fluently ongoing with safety.

GAU Rector Prof Dr. Yıldırım Öner has stated that the General Director of İktisat Bank Ahmet Karavelioğlu is part of the GAU Family and the member of GAU Graduates committee. It also been emphasized that it is moreover honoring to have the General Director of a significant bank of İktisat as one of the GAU family. He also realized that it is honoring to witness every GAU graduate in similar positions. Öner thanked Karavelioğlu for his speech and presented him a plaquete of appretiation.
