The cerography of Turkey for the “One Billion Rising” event, which will be held simultaneously in the world in order to protest the violence and sexual abuse against woman, is prepared by GAU Turkey Dance Academy.While Turkey’s cerography been prepared by GAU Turkey Dance Academy, GAU science and arts team will provide free dance training to the participants.The event, which will be held to pull attention to problems of women and build social responsibility beside of emphasizing the women rights, will be attended by GAU Dance Academy which is situated in the first education building of GAU Turkey-İstanbul Campus.The events which will be supported by Beşiktaş City Council Women Center and GAU and carry the slogans of “No to Violence Against Woman” and “No Women Weak But Brains” will emphasize the problems of women and the sexual abuse by 1 billion women dancing simultaneously in the world.1 Billion Women Will Dance For 3.4 Billion Women General Coordinator of GAU-Turkey Hüseyin Ata has claimed significant phrases over the event One Billion Rising movement to be held in the Turkey-İstanbul Beşiktaş Square on 14th of February 2013 which will protest the worldly violence, abuse, sexual racism against women by dancing.Ata referring that the movement to hold 1 billion women to dance simultaneously worldwide is the largest woman movement in the history also emphasized that on 14th of February One Billion Rising movement the worldwide occurring violence, assault, sexual racism against woman will be protested through dancing and GAU Dance Academy made its decision to undertake a social responsibility in the global woman movement and the event of V-DAY One Billion Rising of Beşiktaş District.

“One Billion Dance Training will be Free of Charge by GAU”Ata also underlined the violence and discrimination against woman in Turkey and TRNC. Ata yet stated that although the law makers do regulate, legislate and execute the law, beside the slow flow of implementations, as a result of the social structure the women are abstained thus concluding in violence and abuse against women and further explained as:Woman Assembly of Beşiktaş City Council and GAU are hand to hand to reach many woman and be heard by masses and “we are the supporters of women”.“A free of charge dance training will be provided by GAU İstanbul Campus Dance Academy until the date of 14.02.2013 which the event will be realized, for those participants who want to be hand tohand with us for a support. There is no need to be a dancer, at certain age or have physical capability  to be provided with the training.
