Great Interest for GAU 7th Highschools Short Film Contest

THE GRAND PRIZE IS FULL-SCHOLARSHIP EDUCATION IN ENGLAND

The applications had begun for the 7th Short Film contest for High schools which is held traditionally every year by Girne American University Faculty of Communication.

The contest which the students of high schools and its equivalents in the borders of Turkish Republic and TRNC will participate will not be subjected to any topic.

The grand prize for the contest which will be held amongst the students of high school and its equivalents will be full scholarship in English Preparatory education at GAU England- Canterbury Campus.

The applications for the contest will be asset until 8th of April 2013. The runner-up prize for the GAU 7th short film contest for Highs cools will be 50 percent scholarship and for the second runner-up will be 25 percent scholarship at English Preparatory education at GAU England- Canterbury Campus.

It had been further explained that as the greatest American University of North Cyprus and the Europe and during the academic year which the 28th year of the establishment is been celebrated the young generation is aimed to prepare them to be actors, directors and act actively in the film sector under the project of social responsibility and also it had been emphasized that another aim is to pave the way for those young people whom had stepped forward in professional life and also support them in their education lives, spread them to greater masses and build the awareness for the cinema sector.

The contest results will be available on 12th of April 2013 after the assessment held by the jury between the dates of 8-11 April 2013 in GAU- Girne Campus during the exhibition and award ceremony for the ranking young cinemamen. The contestants to apply with only maximum of 15 minutes long films.
