International Turkish Culture Organization (TÜRKSOY), established in 1992 for revealing the cultural heritage, promote, deliver for the future generations, enhancing the cultural bonds thus prospering brotherhood, unity, solidarity and protecting the national and common cultures, has signed a cooperation protocol with  Girne American University which celebrates the 28th year in the higher education.

Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar on behalf of GAU and General Secretary Prof Dr. Düsen Kaseinov on behalf of TÜRKSOY has signed the protocol which was held in the Chancellor’s Office of Girne American University Cyprus-Girne Campus. The Vice-Chancellors of GAU Board of Administrators Olgun Üstün and Cemile Esenyel, Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner, Vice-Rectors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olgun Çiçek and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Ağdelen, General Secretary Dr. Sualp Davut, TÜRKSOY TRNC Representative Güler Fedai and President of International Turcology Center oftheInstitute of Turkish World Prof. Dr. Yerden Kazhybek were present at the ceremony.

Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar  and General Secretary Prof Dr. Düsen Kaseinov has explained further to GAU TV in respect to the common research, the perception upon the issues of education-training, to improve the relations between the students and to provide the common utility of the research studies resultants,to publish, to convey the experiences of the parties in means of scientific organizations and  education-training perception based protocol signed between GAU and International Turkish Culture Organization (TÜRKSOY).

AKPINAR: “Significant Projects to be undertaken with the Turkish World”

Akpınar emphasized that the protocol signed between TÜRKSOY and GAU will be a significant culture and science bridge between the Turkish world and TRNC through science, culture and art and that with the protocol significant projects will be undertaken with the Turkish world.

Akpınar also emphasized that GAU Cyprus- Girne Campus together with abroad campuses England, Singapore, USA is ready to support the scientific, cultural and artistic events to be realized by GAU Istanbul-TÜRKSOY. He also underlined that the exchange program of academic staff and students will be a great additive in respect to the individual development and conveying the Turkish culture to the future generations.

KASEINOV: “A Bond of Culture and Science to be Established between TRNC and the Turkish World”

General Secretary of TÜRKSOY Prof Dr. Düsen Kaseinov further explained that it is very honoring to realize the first event at GAU through a photograph exhibition under the title of “Welcoming Breezes of Northern Cyprus By TÜRKSOY” under the content of the 20th year in the establishment of International Turkish Culture Organization TÜRKSOY which undertakes studies for promoting the culture and art of people which speaks Turkish as common language and convey to the future generations.

Prof. Dr. Kaseinov has underlined that with the protocol held between TÜRKSOY and GAU is aiming to establish cooperation upon scientific research and education, significant project will be realized and a bond of culture and science will be established between TRNC and the Turkish World.
