GAU continues commemoration activities within 21st December Week of National Struggle and Commemorating Martyrs.


Investigative Writer Mehmet Bahadır has attended to the commemoration schedule organized by GAU Ataturkist Ideology Association. After GAU Student Mustafa Özyörük read the poem “Bloody Christmas Nightmare”, film screening prepared by Gökalp Yamen has been performed.


In the speech made by Investigative Writer Mehmet Bahadır he stated massacres and difficulties experienced by Turkish Cypriots due to Greek Cypriots between 1963 and 1964. He also added that massacres not only occurred in ‘60s and everything started between in the years of 647 and 964 by the slaughtering Muslim people. Bahadır also stated that by meeting with the Late Founder President Rauf Raif Denktaş in 1979 his awareness was raised and he was routed about the slaughtering, later Bahadır informed the audience about the National Struggle years.
