Girne American University (GAU) continued to meet theatre lovers with theatre without slowing down it culture and arts events in its 25. year.

North Cyprus Universities Theatre Groups meet theatre lovers meet with 5 theatre plays at GAU Cyprus Karmi Campus International Congress Centre Spectrum Congress Hall on May 17-22, 2010. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in higher education, GAU continues to be the cultural attraction point of Kyrenia. Plays, which were performed by theatre teams from 4 different universities, met with audience, while the played theatre plays were applauded strongly.

Academic and administrative staff of GAU and its students and the people of Kyrenia paid a lot of attention to “Öyle Bir Akıl ki (Such a mind)” by Eastern Mediterranean University, “Şahları da Vururlar (They shoot kings as well)” by Middle East Technical University Cyprus Campus, “Tarla Kuşuydu Julied (Juliet was skylark)” (double matinees) by European University of Lefke, “Testesteron”- “Yedi Kocalı Hürmüz (seven husbands for Hürmüz)” by Cyprus International University.
