Ozanköy Motorbike Festival which organized by the support of Bikers Club Cyprus took place in front of The Corner House.

Besides motor lovers, Brits and Russians that inhabit in Ozanköy showed a great deal of attention to the activity and the motor bikers put the second round of the ending season of summer and winter into practice before the activity and they took their places at the festival through the touring of Lefkoşa, Değirmenlik, Beşparmak, Çatalköy.

Besides known businessmen and opinion leaders, a great number of British citizens and the public of Ozanköy that resident at the area, showed a great deal of attention to the activity which occurred by the participation of Harley Davidson bikes which had been in the first place and the participation of approximate 130 bikes from each type. The activity which has braced by the food-drink stands continued by the end of the day with two different music groups and with the singer of beautiful songs Erin Elizel. Also Girne American University Motorbikes Club supported the activity.

Relevant to the topic, Bikers Club stated that the activities of the use of motorbikes and the raise of culture will be supported, to spreading the motorbike culture and the benefits of obeying the traffic rules, also pointed out to the problems that motorbikes and bicycles come across at the traffic.

Messages such as ‘’Don’t Ride Unless You Wear Helmet’’, ‘’Consider and Be Aware of the Motorbikes’’, ‘’Give Priority to Motorbikes and Bicycles at the Traffic’’, ‘’We Are Also at the Traffic’’, ‘’Be Aware of Us’’, ‘’Obeying Traffic Rules Rescues Life’’ reminded in the statement. In this statement, to point out the rights and traffic accidents of motor bikers and bicyclists, to create social sensitivity and awareness and for spreading the motorbike culture, underlined the importance of coordinated similar activities.

It stated that, for the development, spreading of motorbike culture, every month similar activities will be coordinated routinely for being able to give right messages to the public opinion. Authorized person of organization committee- nicknamed Jawa Ali- Ali Yüksek stated in his statement that one of the aims of Bikers Club and İkiteker(bicycle) world is that they will make such activities traditional and it is their target to be able to take place in other districts and he additionally said that the motorbike accidents will be increased with the increased awareness on motorbikes due to the similar activities that will continuously take place.
