Girne American University (GAU) is continuing its civil society projects during its Silver Jubilee year and took part in a project to repaint the Dipkarpaz Elementary School, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and Dipkarpaz Municipality.

The Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Nazım Çavuşoğlu and the founder of GAU Serhat Akpınar visited the school to see the project firsthand.

A statement from GAU said a 40-strong committee including teachers and students from the Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty went to the Elementary School to repair and repaint the school. GAU Vice Chairman Olgun Üstün, GAU officials and GAU TV visited Dipkarpaz for support. GAU also said in the statement that the university will support all kinds of cultural and nature projects in Dipkarpaz.
