Historical Development About Gastronomy And Tourism By GAU

With GAU and Bocuse Cooperation, Gastronomy World Takes on a New Significance

GAU and Paul Bocuse, one of the leading institutions in tourism education both in France and in the world joined Istanbul Campus education period with Gastronomy Kitchen Arts, and Catering Management academic programs.

In addition to Serhat Akpınar, İsmet Esenyel, Dean of Tourism Faculty and Emete Toros, Head of International Tourism Administration Education Committee have attended Consorsium meeting.

For the first time in Paul Bocuse’s history, undergraduate and post graduate programs and low level department certification programs are being carried outside of France.

After the signing ceremony, Madame Eléonere Vıal and Paul Bocus Shangay General Director Federico Duarte made a statement. They expressed that they are excited and taking pride in to see French kitchen arts, culture and technique integrated with Istanbul and GAU Tourism Programs and it’s carried out from France. Also academic programs will develop people who can take turns to tourism sector.
Michelin Starred Chiefs will contribute 150 students to the sector in first year

According to the statement from GAU, with the structure of GAU – PAUL BOCUSE Institute, for the first time in Turkey a 3 starred Michelin restaurant will be opened and Michelin starred chiefs will take charge in Turkey for the first time. And for the first year, 150 students will have education.

Serhat Akpınar made a statement after signing ceremony. Mr Akpinar stated that GAU is assertive with the education programs and the process will be given in Turkey and TRNC for the first time. And for about 1 year, they have been working on a project. Also with upcoming 2013 year, both Turkey and TRNC will have important progresses in sectorial fields in the world.
