GAU Will Accept Students To 10 New Departments
IN THE 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR , GAU WILL ACCEPT STUDENTS TO 10 NEW DEPARTMENTS MANY OF THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME AT A UNIVERSITY IN THE TRNC THAT ARE TO BE INCLUDED IN THE YOK BOOKLET .
As Girne American University prepares to celebrate 27 years in higher education it has received approval from the Higher Education Board to accept student applications to 10 new departments for the 2012-2013 academic year.
In a statement from Gau it was expressed that the new departments wíll act directly to increase the number of first time students choosing to study at universities in the TRNC and TRNC nationals will also be able to apply .
Chinese Language and Literature together with Many Other Departments To Be opened For The First Times at GAU With YOK Approval.
American University of Kyrenias´ education programs for the rising professions of the global world include Marine , Aviation, Performing Arts, Law, Advanced Engineering Disciplines,Fine Arts and Architecture, Interior Design, International Management, International Relations, Phsychology, Phsychological Counselling and Guidance, 11 different Vocational Schools, 5 Schools of Higher Education, 8 Faculties and 1 institute, 47 undergraduate, 31 post graduate and 9 PHD programs .
GAU will begin the 2012-2013 academic year with YOK approved departments of Turkish Law, Chinese Language and Literature, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Classroom Teaching, Health Care Management, Occupational Therapy, Energy Systems Engineering, Midwifery, Construction Engineering and Civil Aviation Transportation Management.
27th Year Special Scholarships will be given to 2000 Turkish and 200 TRNC Nationals.
All students with OSYM scholarships and the LYS exam beginning their higher education at GAU will benefit from an uninterrupted scholarship for the foundation program and all departments , including the international Campuses and independant of academic success . The 27th Year Special scholarships will be valid for 7 years undergraduate study and 5 years for an associate degree and will include the new YOK approved programs for 2000 Turkish national students beginning their higher education with OSYM scholarship andLYS exam results. 200 TRNC national students will also benefit from various scholarships which will include the academic programs at the UK Canterbury Campus.
