KASAKSTAN’S FİRST NAVAL EDUCATİON CENTRE İS BEİNG ESTABLİSHED BY GAU
A NEW ERA İS COMMENCİNG İN NAVAL EDUCATİON

With the agreement signed between the Girne American University and the Kazakh-British Technical University, the first naval education centre of Kazakhstan, one of the most important countries of the Middle East and Turkish world, is being established by GAU. Student candidates from Kazakhstan will receive education at the GAU Istanbul and TRNC Kyrenia campuses.

A new era starts in Kazakhstan with the agreement signed between GAU Founding Rector and Board Chairman Serhat Akpınar and Kazakh-British Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. İskender Beysembetov. As a result of an on-going contact with Kazakhstan’s leading foundations and universities, the Founding Rector and Board Chairman Serhat Akpınar has also signed several agreements which will have positive substantial consequences for the Middle East and TRNC.

Girne American University Directorate has announced that the Maritime Faculty will have a training base and that the Kazakh student candidates of Nautical Sciences will receive their theoretical education in GAU Istanbul campus and their practical education in the Mediterranean with training boats, in Kyrenia Campus.

It was announced that the first sailors of Kazakhstan educated by the Girne American University will continue their seasonal training in GAU campuses abroad, and that the students will officially start their education with the ceremony which will be held in GAU İstanbul campus in August.

It has also been stated that the training of shipman, captain and deep-sea captains, which is needed for Kazakhstan’s development in the Middle East, will be provided by the Girne American University Kyrenia Campus Maritime Faculty. It was stated that the Kazakh students will receive two diplomas when they graduate.

GAU has announced that the Departments of the Enstitute of Nautical Sciences are still accepting TRNC student candidates’ applications. TRNC citizens will be able to continue their education in the Kazakh-British Technical University.
