The award ceremony “ Bests of the year” found their owners. 12 jury members who are professional and accepted as authorities in their fields detected the bests of the year with their assessments that they at the first 6 months of 2010.

GAU which congratulates the 25th anniversary year got the award of the “Best Faculty” owing to their services they give with the Faculty of the Stage School.

GAU’s Dance Education Programmes is now waiting students with the slogan of” Now, it is time to dance!” and aims to raise professional dancers after two years of education and to raise professional dance instructors after 4 years of education . The modern faculty building which costs 2.5 million euro is marvellous with its architecture, functional design, technologic sub-structure and dance studios. The indoor dance studios which occupies 1000m2 place will be open to talented students with its multi-vision audio and visual sub-structure. The Stage School is the only faculty which gives dance education in Northern Cyprus.

GAU started to accept students after taking place in YÖK brochure has world-famous Turkish and Russian artists and academicians. Galip Emre who is Turkish Dance Federation Board Member and Creator of Functional Dance Theory, Oleg Manukovich, Liliya Biroğul, Alexandra Simakova and Suzan Erkan will educate Stage School Students. Artists who played the starring roles at the operas and at the ballet shows in Russia and Europe will also educate the Stage School students. The Faculty of Stage School Dance Department Chairman İdil Akça took the reward on behalf of the university. In the award ceremony dancers of Stage School and Department of Dance took stage with their amazing dance shows.
