Department of Preschool Teaching of the Faculty of Education, GAU has initiated many projects within the frameork of the course “Service to Community” under the coordination of reserach assistant Aytaç Dilek. Head of Department, Mehmet Toran said that they’ve had positive feedback from the performed projects. He also stated that social awareness of department students have increased and they are now aware of the responsibility of teaching job.

Restoration of Karaoğlanoğlu Elementary School’s Nursery Class has been finished

This year the group of GAU Pre-School Teaching Department with 3rd grade students has shown their performance. After diagnosing that Karaoğlanoğlu Elementary School Nursery Class’ physical environment is not suitable for development, Nursery Class has been reconstituted in order to make it suitable for child development. After that it has been equipped with materials in order to provide children’s learning needs. After children have seen new class environment with materials, it was worth seeing their happiness. Needs of nursery class has been provided from the co-operation of Girne citizens and students.

Audio books for partially sighted citizens prepared by department students will also have their place in the library.
