The Girne American University (GAU)’s Basketball team proved their victory against the Soyer Sport by 54-77 from the first day of the TRNC Basketball Super League’s first show-down at Nicosia Ataturk Indoor Stadium.

This is what GAU’s Basketball Trainor, Kadri Alagoz, said after the match;
Alagoz: “As GAU, our aim is to win every match we attend and we have the potential to do so.”

He said: “ It was very important to start the 2018-2019 TRNC Basketball Season’s first match with triumph. We started the match a little hesitant and excited and we payed the price by leaving the first period behind. When we started to reflect our own game to the stadium, we took control of the game and started to reflect the beauty of basketball. We are happy of our triumph. We thank all our players for their efforts. We will continue working on how we can improve our team with Gokay Iskar.

This year, as GAU our aim is to win every match we attend and we have the potential to do so. Next week we are expecting our entire GAU family at our home game against YDU.”
