The health Club of the Girne American University (GAU) has organized a blood donation event with cooperation of the Turkish Cypriot Red Crescent.

During the blood donation event that took place in the GAU campus, university staff and GAU students made an informative seminar with points of view of ‘’Conscious Community Conscious Blood Donation’’ and ‘’Consciousness First, Then Donation’’. While 300 donation applications and 105 units of blood donation was made with great participation, most blood donation in the area of Girne was done by GAU staff and students.

SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF BLOOD

The Girne American University, supported the Northern Cypriot Red Crescent that is working to supply blood for the increasing need of blood with the ‘’Conscious Community Conscious Blood Donation’’ project, which took place in the university.

According to the statement which was made by Girne American University, which continues its activities with the mission of being sensitive with commune problems and contribution to the community, the blood donation campaign which took place to supply the need of blood which is a vital matter. Northern Turkish Cypriot Red Crescent Association blood donation vehicle waited ready at the entrance of the campus for two days and took blood from the volunteers after the necessary health checks.
