TRNC HAS SUNGLIGHT 330 DAYS OUT OF 365, THUS THERE IS A GREAT POTENTIAL OF PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY
In the Economy Conversation held by Girne American University Business Management Club, "Effective Usage of Resources" was discussed.
Subjects like how TRNC and World uses its Natural Resources and what kinds of problems can be face in the future was cleared out at GAU.
The Moderator of The Economy Conversations which was held by GAU Business Management Club was Business Management Faculty academic member Vildan Esenyel. Greenwise Environment Director Ali Şah said," Recycling is regaining the natural resources back into Economy and making the exploitation of the sources considerably less. The biggest rate of recycling is done for packaging materials. No packaging material should go to waste, they should be recycled. In Cyprus we cannot recycle cardboards after the collection, we can only regain from them by exportation."
In the same speech, Şah referred to Recycling as Grocery Shopping and said, " As we take every product piece by piece, we should recycle those products in the same way. Otherwise, classifying is a really expensive procedure and it makes recycling less beneficial."
Yüksel Ahmet Raşit Solar Energy Systems Projects Manager Mahir Karakuş said, " It is not possible to Renewable Energy Sources to run out. A Solar Panel consists of cells. These cells have top and bottom layers. The beams from the sun hits the top layer and knocks out an electron from the layer which causes a voltage difference. This difference causes the layer to complete the circuit and produces electricity. Karakuş also said," TRNC has sunlight 330 days out of 365, thus there is a great potential of production of electricity."
After the event there was sapling plantation in front of the GAU Business Management Faculty Building.
