GAU Students of School Of Pyhsical Education and Sports Continues Their Practical Applications
Girne American University (GAU) students of School of Physical Education and Sports Department completed their theoretical studies and will continue their education practically within the scope of Outdoor Sports class.
The students performed their first applied course by starting from the campus of GAU and continuing through the route chosen by the academicians. It was stated that the route consisted of earthed pathways from the Edremit and St. Hilarion region.
Birkan Karaderi who is one of the academicians of GAU School of Physical Education and Sports referred that the activity lasted for 2 hours and 45 minutes as a Hiking and the route was 12 km and 670 meters in total. Karaderi, who expressed that they have climbed 500 meters and the humidity rate was nearly 998 as a barometer, emphasized that the route was predetermined by the academicians and all security measures was taken. It was underlined that participant students were informed beforehand regarding the use of map and compass, survival and materials and rainy weather, slippery and mound ground did not affect the students, and all students completed the activity successfully and proudly. Karaderi also specified that these kinds of activities will continue throughout the year as part of the relevant course.
