Educators that were the guests of GAU, were amazed about Cyprus:

Within the scope of the introductions of Girne American University (GAU) and American University of Cyprus (AUC), guests who were participated to “Workshop Program” which were organized in cooperation with GAU- AUC, indicated that they liked the weather of Cyprus and they expressed that they were pleased with culture and trip tours. They said that “Cyprus is like a heaven”. Participants expressed that very beneficial tour was organized in order to learn the culture and history of Cyprus and they thanked to GAU and AUC Administration for this organization. Educators, who especially came from Aegean Region and Hatay, took an unforgettable culture trip opportunity by visiting a lot of historical regions besides the campus introductions.

Guests met at the barbeque night at Camelot Beach Club social day room which carries on a business within the scope of Girne American University and University of Cyprus. They had the chance to recognize the Kyrenia Youth Center Folk Dancing Group and Country dance which is the important part of the Cyprus culture.

Guests who accompanied to Kyrenia Youth Center Folk Dancing Group were spent an unforgettable night. Girne American University General Secretary Asst. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut made the opening speech of the night and he expressed that they are glad to host the treasured educators within the university one more time and introducing Cyprus well apart from the faculty and departments.

Davut, “The most important privilege that Girne American University that moving towards the 50th year and University of Cyprus which has started to education life with its new vision and different platform, offer their students is giving them a chance to keep up as a citizen of the world in international campuses with the vision of Girne American University Founding Rector Serhat Akpınar.

Second day guests had a chance to recognize the University of Cyprus and Nicosia and they took their certificates from senior staffs of GAU and AUC at gala dinner which was held at Le Chateau Lambousa.

Educator- Writer Cihat Şener who is one of the well-known individual of Turkey offered their certificates to guests. Live music performance of Girne American University school group GAU Band fascinated guests.

GAU Students Were Applauded Loudly

Assistant students in different departments who were act together with the group in Workshop process were applauded loudly by guests because of their attention and appreciation they showed.

Guest educators emphasized that their all prejudices about Cyprus were removed in this visit and they emphasized that it is so important to see a place on site.

They expressed that they are very pleased to experience the the cost of living is not same as it was described.

Guests expressed that they were better informed about the country by not only know the universities but also seeing and knowing Cyprus well and they thanked to Girne American University and University of Cyprus because of their invitations, attention and satisfaction.

Educators expressed that they were impressed of the opportunities that were offered to students and they congratulated the university authorities because of their background opportunities, quality education and campus opportunities which are offered to students.
