Mr. Bozkır "The future of GAU is open"

EU Minister and Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Volkan Bozkır, while stating in a statement he made to the Girne American University Media Coordinator that he was living the excitement of receiving the first Honorary Doctorate, he also thanked to high-level officers and academic staff of Girne American University.

Bozkur, who answered the question of GAU Media which was "As GAU family, we are very happy to present you an honorary doctorate in the first academic event of Girne American University in 2016, what will you say about it", underlining that the future of GAU is open, stated that "For me, it is a great honor, receiving a such an honor award from such a distinguished educational institution, is one of the most important moments of my life."

International vision

Bozkır, who spoke about the commentary of GAU Media, which was "Our international vision is to make our students a world citizen with our campuses that sprawled over 5 continents, I think, as the Minister of European Union, it also has a particular importance for you, stated that "It certainly has, I congratulate this university, which has exceeded the TRNC and raised students who has reputation in 5 continents, and I wish it a continued success."

Girne American University (GAU) Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, who took the floor after the Minister, stated that "As Mr. Minister presented, GAU is a great honor within our global family. I once again thank Mr. Minister for sharing this beautiful honor with us."
