GAU Founding Rector Akpınar meets with Tugrul Turkes

Girne American University (GAU) Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Tugrul Turkes, who is also responsible of the situations of Cyprus.

Additionally, GAU Vice Chancellor of Board of Administrators Asım Vehbi attended the visitation of Akpınar which took place in Ankara.

Serhat Akpınar who made a statement through his Twitter account, expressed the followings; “We are sharing our goals, plans and the developments about GAU and AUC with Asım Vehbi in The Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry.”

Presenting a plaque

As a Turkish Cypriot, Akpınar referred that they have given a plaque to Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Tugrul Turkes for his valuable contributions and presented his thanks to Mr. President.

Akpınar indicated that as GAU and Universities Association, they gave information about Higher Education of TRNC to Turkes and stated that the visitation was very successful and many mutual approaches have been shared.
